The Insecure Dreamer is a series of sculptures created using experimental techniques and a combination of soft and rigid materials, where the body becomes a vessel for internal conflict.
The works explore a state of vulnerability — the desire to be seen alongside the fear of self-expression. The figures seem to exist “within themselves,” isolated from the external world, yet permeated by dreams that attempt to break through. Sometimes these dreams remain trapped inside, lodged within the body; at other times, they find a way out, offering a sense of release.
Closure functions as a form of protection — but does it ultimately erase identity itself?
